Become an Auditor


Based upon The ISO Certifications Group principles, the auditor position works directly (onsite \ remotely) with clients to provide auditing for clients of various industries, organizational sizes and knowledge bases regarding the proper establishment, implementation and maintenance of the client’s management system.

• Work directly with clients onsite at their facility or remotely
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Travel to clients’ facilities as required or needed
• Be or become knowledgeable on various management systems, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, etc. and how to properly establish, implement and maintain them
• Design and develop base template documents for use on projects and ensure they meet the requirements of applicable management system standards
• Conduct first and second party audits on behalf of clients
• Write excellent audit reports
• Preform certification audits
• Other duties as required

Essential Qualifications

Education
• Completed Bachelors of Science Degree from an accredited college or school
• Certified Consultant or Lead Auditor ASQ or Exemplar (RABQSA)

Experience
• At least 15 years of business operations and understanding of typical business functions and how they interact with each other.
• At least 15 years of management system experience in various industries, primarily oil & gas, manufacturing, automotive
• Operational knowledge of various industries such as, manufacturing, oil and gas, laboratory testing, aerospace, food and beverage, automotive, etc.
• Designing a management system from the ground up and instrumental in its implementation and certification.
• Proofreading and editing
• Coaching and training others on techniques, principles and strategies to implement management system requirements.
• Working with various nationalities and cultures
• Traveling to sites

Skills
• Must be an individual of high character and integrity.
• Excellent writing and grammar required.
• Excellent verbal communication skills required.
• Public speaking.

Must demonstrate a highly professional demeanor at all times, in attitude, speaking, actions, dress, etc.

PREASSESSMENT AUDITS

A pre-assessment audit is performed with the same independence and objectivity as a certification audit. The auditor(s) will conduct activities such as documentation review, process review, interview of process owners, etc, in order to gather the necessary information that evidence compliance.

VERIFICATION AUDITS

Verification Audits are conducted by the ICG’s auditors as an independent third party that verifies that your organizations’ quality management system conforms to the ISO 9001 standard.

Certification Audits are conducted by the ICG’s auditors as an independent third party that rely on certification, for the purpose of certifying that the organizations’ quality management systems conform with the ISO 9001 standard.
